K. K. S. S. R. Ramachandran

K. K. S. S. R. Ramachandran (Tamil: சாத்தூர் ராமச்சந்திரன்) was the minister for Backward Classes (2006–2011) in Tamil Nadu state of India. He was born in Gopalapuram on 8-August-1949. He has finished high school education. .He is from Reddy Community, who are basically warriors.He is generally known as Sattur Ramachandran

Political career

He has been elected to the Tamil Nadu assembly seven times sharing the achievement with few politicians.[1]

He won three times continuously as an All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) candidate from Sattur. After MGR's death, he won on a ticket from the AIADMK (Jayalalitha faction) from neighbouring Vilathikulam. He again won Sattur as a candidate of the then newly floated outfit, Anna Puratchi Thalaivar Munnetra Kazhagam. He suffered his first defeat after re-joining the AIADMK in 1996. However, he bounced back in the next two elections in 2001 and 2006 after switching over to the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.[2] He felt at the feet of Jayalalitha which has been publishied in all daily newspaper. But he spoke about self-respect

He was the Minister for Cooperation and Public Works Department in the M. G. Ramachandran Cabinet between 1984 and 1987. He owns a ginning factory in Virudhunagar.[3]
